Plentirain Rain Pipe is also named as sprinkler hose, rain tape, rain hose, micro irrigation spray tube, perforated tube etc. It is a flat PE hose with laser punched holes to spray water mistily. Do I need to buy a filter for the rain pipe system?
In most case, it is not necessary to install a filter for Plentirain rain pipe irrigation system, unless there are many impurities in the water.
How to use a rain pipe under mulch film?
To use the rain pipe under the mulch film, the pipe should be in line with planting lines, and close to the crops so that the water can flow directly on crop roots. If the plant grow out from the mulch film, the rain pipe emitters holes should be far away from the holes in the mulch film. When irrigate under mulch film, liquid fertilizer can be injected in water and flow to the crops root. The mechanism like a higher flow drip irrigation system.
Can I use the rain pipe irrigation system without a pump?
Yes, the rain pipe can do short distance irrigation without a pump.
You would need a tank in the higher position than the irrigation system. When tank height is more than 1 m, the water can flow out from the holes like a drip irrigation system. And when the height of tank is more than 2 m, the spray tape can work normally.
